At Osbournby Primary School we welcome admissions at any point in the school year. As Lincolnshire is home to many RAF bases, we often have new children arriving, so this is something we are very used to. Whatever your situation, we would encourage you to ring the school office and make an appointment to visit our school. Our Headteacher will happily meet with perspective families to discuss what we can offer and how we can help.
We can arrange a look around and even a taster visit for your child to come and experience what it is like at Osbournby. Where visits are not possible for children moving to us, we reach out to the current school and in the past we have arranged a video conference with the new teacher and a virtual classroom tour so that children can feel as prepared as possible.
When new children start, a warm welcome awaits them. We allocate them a ‘buddy’ to look after them in the classroom room and on the playground on their first few days. We will work with each family to ensure that joining school is a smooth as possible. We have a great ‘preloved uniform’ offer (at 50p item) which can help you to get set up with all the new uniform you need.
The school office will support you in setting up the apps that you need to keep informed of what is happening in school and show you how to book in for after school clubs or wraparound care.
